First, buying hair color professionally is about the same as doing it at home. The same chemicals are used, and the dye lasts the same amount of time. Purchasing the necessary chemicals is simple if you know which ones to buy. Kits are available that contain all the necessary equipment, but these are kind of expensive. It's easy to get around purchasing kits. Here's how.
It's really not that difficult. Your local salon store should have all of the necessary supplies that you need to color your hair. Now all you need is the information. There are three things you need.
- Color
- Developer
- Conditioner
There are many different brands for both coloring and developing. The one that you choose is really up to you. You can do research and decide which is best for your hair type. There should be plenty of choices at your salon store. The colors will be on display on the bottles and sorted by colors. Bottles of color cost around $4-$5 and the developer costs around $2. The developer bottle should last you around 3 times of dying. Talk about buying affordable hair color that works! The first time you color your hair it will cost $6. The second and third time it will cost you $4!! Plus the conditioner and taxes.
So now that you buy affordable hair color. How do you apply it? Many times the bottles do not contain any instructions on how to apply the chemicals. It's actually pretty easy however.
- Mix 2 ounces of developer with the color and mix in a metal bowl.
- Apply mixture to roots of dry hair and work outward.
- Leave mixture in your hair for around 30 minutes.
- Add warm water to your hair and lather your hair.
- Rinse with cold water until water is clear.
- Apply your at home conditioner.
